A town representative introduced an application seeking village-center designation for East Braintree (also referred to in materials as Snowesville). Jackson, who led packet preparation, summarized the materials required for submission — photos of anchor buildings, boundary maps prepared with 2 Rivers, letters of support and planning documents — and said the only outstanding change is insertion of an updated map.
"The only piece that is gonna be updated from the packet you have is the map itself," Jackson said, explaining that Kyle Anson provided an updated map that will be inserted before submission. The board moved to approve the application as presented, with the one change to the map, and voted aye around the table. Board members noted the submission deadline ties to the Community Investment Board's September meeting and encouraged remote participation for the review panel presentation.
Jackson said the designation can unlock tax credits and grant opportunities for properties within the designated boundary and helps the town pursue funding aligned with the planning work previously discussed.
