The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission recommended rezoning approximately 7 acres south of the southeast corner of West 10th Street South and South 61st West Avenue from RM‑2 to AG to permit agricultural uses associated with a cottage house development.
Bell Land Use LLC and applicant Robert Bell told the commission the southern 7‑acre area would be used to maintain a farm with animals and crops for residents and employees of the adjacent cottage house facility. Staff noted agricultural uses are not currently permitted in RM‑2 and said the AG zoning would be consistent with the Neighborhood land‑use designation and the site’s lack of infrastructure. The applicant indicated agreement with staff’s recommendation. The commission moved to recommend approval (motion by Turner‑Addison; second by Craddock) and recorded a 9‑0‑0 vote.
Next steps: the recommendation will be transmitted to the appropriate authority for final action.
