Residents ask Braintree board for 10–15 mph signs on Lemery Road

The board said it would have to research statutory requirements, confirm whether a traffic/ speed study exists for Lemery Road and consult state guidance; one board member suggested pedestrian signage as an interim step to improve safety. Residents said the state police recommended posting a regulatory sign to make enforcement possible.
The board did not make an immediate decision but said staff would look into any required traffic-study protocol and coordinate with state police and the listers for available historical data. The board asked the residents to share video or other evidence and said it would follow up by email.
