USD 422 board names clerk, treasurer and staff roles for 2025–26

At the organizational meeting the board approved a package of appointments for 2025–26. The motion (moved by David Allison, seconded by Tyler Heinson) included Cassie Kirby as board clerk and multiple staff assignments: Brandie Waldschmidt as Title I coordinator, Title IX decision maker, transportation supervisor, Title II and Section 504 coordinator; Travis Powell and Stephanie White-Neuhold as truant officers for different grade levels; Cassie Kirby as KPERS designated agent and Freedom of Information officer; and Brooke Varela as deputy clerk and child nutrition authorized representative. The motion passed 6–0.
The board also appointed Cory Zenger as the governmental relations representative for 2025–26, designated the Merchant’s Directory as the official publication for public notices, and named Ki Gamble as the South Central Kansas Special Educational Cooperative representative.
