Director of Operations Daymond Monteith told the board that a correction tied to the 2022 Secure Rural Schools Act will increase federal revenue for the district. He also noted other mid-year fiscal details at the Dec. 31 reporting point: salary increases from settled labor contracts and a 20% year-over-year increase in property and liability insurance costs (approximately $600,000–$700,000). The board indicated it will discuss uses for the reinstated funds once timing and amounts are confirmed.
