The USD 422 Board of Education voted May 12 to reject all bids for an electrical upgrade to the industrial arts building after determining the work is not needed for the coming school year.
"A motion was made by Ki Gamble and seconded by Tyler Heinson to reject all bids for an electrical upgrade to the industrial arts building," the minutes record; the board approved the motion 7–0. Board members noted the upgrade was not necessary for the next school year, so competitive bids will not be awarded at this time.
The board did not record additional discussion or a timeline for revisiting the project in the minutes. The decision removes the item from immediate capital work for the district and leaves the current electrical configuration in place for the coming year.
