Representative Kay Christofferson emphasizes committee work and public participation as budget process continues

Representative Kay Christofferson opened the committee session, identifying herself as a representative for Lehi and American Fork and noting, “This is week number 2, the end of week number 2.” She said committee rooms are where detailed bill vetting happens and invited the public to sign in and testify in person or remotely using cameras and screens.

Christofferson said the legislature is in the middle of budgeting and reminded listeners that the state has a constitutional requirement to balance the budget.
