La Cygne council approves $74,074 insurance invoice covering city and fire

City Clerk Jodi Wade presented the April 1, 2025–April 1, 2026 insurance invoice and reviewed premiums. Council Member Thomas Capp moved to approve the invoice from Truly Insurance in the amount of $74,074 covering City and Fire commercial property, general liability, business auto, commercial umbrella and inland marine coverage; the motion was seconded by Council Member Jerome Mitzner and passed 3-0.
Clerk Wade explained the city's process with Continental Western Group will auto-renew the policy and then staff will review the policy with Truly Insurance to determine any necessary modifications before finalizing coverage.
