La Cygne council hires Lauber Municipal Law after city attorney resignation

Following a five-minute executive session to review applications, the council voted unanimously to retain the firm of Lauber Municipal Law to serve as City Attorney and City Prosecutor effective April 1, 2025. Jeff Deane of Lauber Municipal Law introduced himself to the council and said he will be the primary attorney assigned to La Cygne. The hiring motion was made by Council Member Jerome Mitzner, seconded by Council Member Thomas Capp and recorded as passed 3-0.
