CIP update: 49th Street paving delayed by equipment failure; staff to follow up on access notices

"They paved before Thanksgiving, and their paver broke down, so they didn't quite finish some of the intersections," Director Kumpke said, and added crews would be back when conditions allowed. Council members pressed for clarity about access at the I‑35 interchange and noted that some neighborhood residents reported closures and difficulty reaching properties; staff said they had issued communications and would follow up on targeted outreach and staging of equipment to preserve access.
Kumpke also reported work on sidewalks from Knox to Antioch and remaining driveway work; council members thanked staff for snow removal and other ongoing maintenance efforts.
