Administration intern Zachary Markison summarized the changes, saying the agenda had "minimal changes from the 2025" version and describing five specific edits, including widening a sales-tax collection item to cover county apportionment and moving local control of right-of-way higher among priorities. He said staff and department heads had reviewed the draft.
The council asked for clarification about removing the budget-submission-process section. Markison said the section had been added after 2024 mill-levy submission issues but staff do not anticipate the same problems and offered to provide further detail if council members wanted it restored.
After discussion, a council member moved to approve the agenda as written; the motion carried on a roll-call vote of 8-0.
