Resident asks for clearer timeline as 61st Street work stretches into months
Summary
Rob Arnold told the council that 61st Street construction work appears intermittent and expressed concern the project timeline (noted as completing by Dec. 2) could feel excessive; council and staff said they will improve communications and update schedules online.

Rob Arnold, a resident at 6146 Hemlock, urged council members for an update on the 61st Street construction project, saying contractor presence has been sporadic and that he hopes the work will not stretch until the advertised completion date of Dec. 2. “Hopefully, it doesn't take till December 2 when it's supposed to be completed, but 6 months is a little long for just that,” Arnold said.
Public works staff and council members acknowledged the delays and described coordination with WaterOne earlier in the season, and said the city will add communications on the website and use Notify JOCO for shutoff notices. Staff noted phasing and subcontractor adjustments to make up time where possible.
