At the Jan. 22 work session Chelsea Hurliman reported the district's graduation/completer rate as 92.57% and said the district expects that percentage to rise as interventions continue. Hurliman described intervention meetings and home visits for students who are not on track to graduate.
Assistant Superintendent Scott Carpenter told the board that focused team work and program changes have reduced the number of students not on track to graduate to under 30 — a result described as the product of several years of targeted supports. The board discussed hybrid schedules and online class options that give juniors and seniors flexibility to recover credits.
