La Grande SD reports enrollment increase, auditors on site for September financials

At the Oct. 9 meeting Superintendent George Mendoza reported that district enrollment as of Sept. 30, 2024 stood at 2,074 students, an increase of 31 from the end of the 2023–24 school year. Trustees noted the positive enrollment trend.
Interim Business Director Melissa Reagan presented the Sept. 30, 2024 financial statements and said the General Fund and All Funds are trending as expected. Reagan also told trustees auditors were on site and that the district has established side accounts to plan ahead for upcoming PERS rate increases for the 2025–2027 biennium.
