Board approves 2023–24 Integrated Guidance LGPT report, highlights areas for focus

The La Grande School District board voted unanimously Oct. 9 to approve the 2023–2024 Integrated Guidance LGPT report after Assistant Superintendent Scott Carpenter presented the findings.
Carpenter told trustees the report highlighted graduation rates and improved attendance. He said the district will concentrate on increasing third-grade English language arts proficiency and improving the ninth-grade on-track rate in the coming year. Director Robin Jolin moved approval and Director Bruce Kevan seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
