Board approves surplus property resolution, OSBA nomination and readopts operating principles

At its Sept. 11 meeting the La Grande School District board approved several action items by unanimous vote of those present. The board declared 10 street bikes, helmets and bike shoes from La Grande High School surplus property by adopting Resolution 2025-04. Directors also approved the nomination of Director Randy Shaw for the Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA) Board of Directors, Eastern Region, Position 1, and readopted the La Grande School Board and Staff Operating Principles.
All motions were made, seconded and approved without recorded opposition. The minutes record two absences for the meeting (Michelle Moore and Robin Jolin). The board also approved the LHS FFA Club's trip to Nationals later in the meeting.
