LHS tightens supports for freshmen and links athletics eligibility to grades

Freeman also said La Grande High School is coordinating with the middle school to offer an English 9 class to eighth graders to allow them to earn high-school credit.
Athletic Director Darren Goodman described a 'No F' participation policy for athletics: students with F grades must meet with Goodman and work toward passing to regain or maintain eligibility. Goodman told the board these steps aim to keep students academically on track while preserving extracurricular opportunities.
