Facilities staff reported a list of summer projects that included the Plant and Operations Center opening, installation of a new walk-in freezer (with the old freezer used until the new one is fully functioning), new tile in the sixth-grade hallway, interior and exterior painting, an Island City playground refinishing, Room 17 flooring replacement, updated lighting and resolved A/C issues across campus.
Brad Sunderman presented the work-list. Interim Business Director Melissa Reagan reviewed June 30 financials and reminded the board "we are an accrual system, not cash," and said some unplanned savings may roll into the next fiscal year while the year is finalized.
