Council appoints Katherine Duderstadt to Planning Commission

The Mission City Council voted to appoint Katherine Duderstadt to the city planning commission, with the term set to expire Dec. 31, 2027.
Mayor (Speaker 1) moved the nomination and the motion was seconded and approved by roll call. At the meeting Duderstadt introduced herself: “Catherine Duderstadt… I just got married a few years ago. And I'm excited. I love the city of Mission, and I really deeply appreciate all the work that you guys already do for the city.” She told the council she lives and works in Mission and is a Powell Community Center member.
The council chair congratulated Duderstadt and noted the city relies on volunteers for boards and commissions. No public comment was offered on the appointment. The clerk called the roll and the motion carried.
