Frankfort parks department refunds two reservations, approves Coach Kids Day at Sapphire Bay

Parks staff asked the board to ratify a refund to Justine Lightfoot after a class reunion at the Encompass Center was canceled for low attendance and to approve a $60 refund to Brady Martin after a reservation mix-up at Shelter 3. The board voted to waive the fees and authorize the refunds.
Parks staff also requested approval for a Coach Kids Day at Sapphire Bay on August 15–16; the organizer will track participant numbers and invoice the city afterward. “We’re asking to refund them $60 for that,” a parks department representative said when describing the Shelter 3 incident, and board members asked staff to work with venue management to ensure proper tracking and invoicing.
