The Owosso City Council approved two public safety procurement items during the July 6 meeting. The council waived competitive bidding and authorized a contract with Mid‑Michigan Emergency Equipment Sales & Service LLC to remove, supply and install public safety equipment in one new police utility vehicle for not to exceed $14,757.00 (Resolution No. 103‑2026).
Separately, the council approved purchase of ten Dell Pro Rugged 14 RB14250 laptops through the MiDEAL cooperative at a total not to exceed $29,801.30 for use in police vehicles and operations (Resolution No. 105‑2026). Funding for the laptop purchase is available in the Police Equipment Fund (101‑301‑978.000). Both items were approved as part of the consent agenda with recorded motions and roll call votes.
