Council discusses charging extra for long-term RVs, considers equivalent-user rates
Summary
Councilmembers discussed charging additional sewer fees for long-term RV trailers; staff said RVs increase demand on the system and suggested charging by equivalent users (auxiliary dwelling = 1.0; second RV = 0.6) pending a review of the sewer ordinance.

Kevin VanWagner raised the question of charging additional fees for long-term RV trailers. Dick Dyer said long-term RVs increase demand on the sewer system and described an approach to charge by equivalent users: treating an auxiliary dwelling unit as 1.0 equivalent user and a second RV on the premises as 0.6 equivalent user.
Council did not adopt a change at the meeting; members asked staff to check the existing sewer ordinance for clarification and to return with recommended ordinance language or fee schedules before any formal action is taken.
