Newdale council adopts Ordinance B-2026 after single reading

Kevin VanWagner moved to suspend the three-reading requirement and the motion was seconded; Chad Stevens read the ordinance aloud. Shayne Hansen moved to adopt B-2026 and Brett Leavitt seconded; the roll-call vote was recorded as “Yes” by the council and the motion passed.
The ordinance was adopted during the same meeting that addressed the FY2026 budget; the council treated the item as a standard ordinance adoption and took immediate action after the single reading.
