Dal Schwendiman told the council that a sewer-line backup on a city street had been caused by tree roots and that 3-H Construction cleared the blockage and will send a quote to replace the affected section of pipe. He also reported frozen water meters at properties identified as Mitchell’s and Bowthorpe’s.
Schwendiman said Ivan Harper had contacted him about the City of Rexburg replacing water meters and offering theirs for roughly $50 apiece; Dal said he would check availability and follow up. No formal procurement action or purchase was recorded at the meeting.
