Meeting attendees noted the Sheriff agreed the 25-mph limit appeared inappropriate for the road and that the town would pursue restoring the posted limit to 35 mph.
The board also discussed mislabeling of Campground Road signs and the need for clearer communication with responsible parties. No formal ordinance change or vote to adopt new signage was recorded at the Aug. 6 meeting; the matter will be handled through follow-up coordination with enforcement and signage responsibilities.
