The Isle La Motte Selectboard on Aug. 6 approved two motions related to road maintenance and staff compensation. By motion of MaryCatherine Graziano, seconded by Cary Sandvig, the board hired Martin Jensen to remove three trees and associated debris at a cost not to exceed $1,100.00.
The board also approved a $350 payment to Robin Gutierrz for extra time taken from her regular job; the motion was made by Pat Treckman and seconded by Joe Deller. During the roadwork discussion, Dan Judkins inspected the Turner-Dale and New Road projects and said he was pleased with the work. Robin Gutierrz advised that improvements required under the state MGRP permit must be completed by 2036, and an easement issue on New Road remains unresolved pending owner contact.
