New Monrovia Park work underway; county says project is on budget and on time

County staff provided an on-site update and imagery for New Monrovia Park construction. Susan Korres walked the board through the site images and described the in-progress work: basketball court removal and forming, accessible pathway pours, field leveling and silt fence installation.
"This project is on budget and on time, so we're excited about that," Korres said, noting the park is important for the New Monrovia community’s yearly festival. Staff said the park construction started in May and construction activities include site grading, court work and installation of benches, shade structures and bike racks as shown in the renderings and photos.
No action was required by the board on the construction update.
