Tama County board adopts amended Chapter 28E agreement with juvenile detention center

Heather Knebel, chairwoman of the Tama County Board of Supervisors, presided as the board adopted RESOLUTION NO. 7-20-2026A approving an amended Chapter 28E intergovernmental cooperation agreement between Tama County and the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center (CIJDC).
The resolution, introduced on July 20, 2026, directs the county’s CIJDC representative to execute the amended agreement and requires CIJDC to file the fully executed document with the Iowa Secretary of State in accordance with Iowa Code §28E.8. Supervisor David Turner moved to approve the resolution and Supervisor Mark Doland seconded; the roll-call vote recorded Curt Hilmer, David Turner, Heather Knebel, Mark Doland and Curt Kupka as voting "aye."
