RECC technology update: subcommittee in limbo, CAD primary rehost succeeds, mobile responder app licenses issued

Deputy Director Travis told the board the technology subcommittee is temporarily on hold pending the city’s completion of long-term staffing decisions and asked board members to recommend technology‑minded participants. "We don't want to do any wild and crazy changes while we're waiting on official information for who's gonna be in which long term positions," she said, and asked members to help identify candidates to keep momentum.
The RECC Director reported that the primary CAD server rehost was successful and that a kickoff meeting for the backup/secondary site rehost will occur, followed by testing to ensure cutover causes no downtime. On mobile tools, the director said RECC acquired three licenses for a mobile field responder app that provides emergency medical dispatch codes and distribution instructions; one participant said the app "works great." The director also said staff will circulate a spreadsheet listing upcoming 9-1-1 conferences (APCO Aug. 2–5 in San Antonio, UNUS standards/best practices in New Orleans, Central Square Engage, ID Navigator and MENA 2027) and encouraged attendance for training and vendor coordination.
