Trustees approve ordinance allowing overnight parking on Terrace Street

In its second reading the board adopted an ordinance amending the Village Code to allow overnight parking on Terrace Street. Community Development staff said the Plan Commission recommended the change to address parking lost during nearby alley construction on the north side of Terrace Street.
The ordinance was motioned, seconded and approved by roll call with no substantive public objections or additional staff changes between readings. Trustees flagged that staff had not received any comments between readings and asked staff to continue outreach as needed.
The ordinance passed and will take effect according to the municipal code's ordinance-adoption timeline.
