Lowell receives clean presentation of FY 2023–24 audit; city staff praised for improved process

"Thank you to Layli for all the help and for making it easy for us," Halter said, noting the audit team’s appreciation for the city’s responsiveness. Layli told the council that preparing for the audit was easier than in the prior year. Mayor Maureen Weathers said she liked the statistical summaries included at the back of the audit report.
The presentation did not prompt formal council action. The audit was provided to the council as part of the meeting’s presentations; no votes or follow-up deadlines were recorded in the minutes.
