At the Sept. 3 meeting, Marlena Valenta presented technical-assistance options through NRPC to help the town with heat pumps, battery backups for emergency shelter capability, and lighting upgrades. Valenta told the Selectboard the program requires specific inventory details (number of lights, wattage and fixture size) and recommended LED replacements where feasible; she said the funding resource requires projects to be completed by the end of December 2025.
The board designated Selectboard member MaryCatherine Graziano as the liaison to work with Valenta and instructed staff to collect the lighting data and look for funding resources. No dollar amounts for the projects were recorded in the minutes; the action recorded was informational with a next step assigned to the liaison.
