Contractors recommended excavating along the affected section, placing shot rock and graded stone, and compacting a new base; the board estimated short-term mitigation at $6,000–$10,000. The Selectboard empowered Gutierrez to coordinate three contractors: Complete Septic for excavator work, Ember's Garden for most material hauling, and Blair Trucking specifically for hauling large shot rock. The motion to authorize the contractor coordination passed unanimously.
