Road Commissioner Robin Gutierrez told the board that soliciting contractors for fall roadside debris removal, tree work and grading has produced limited responses, and the selectboard discussed staging immediate patching this fall and a more comprehensive regrading in spring 2026.
RC Gutierrez listed culverts needing jetting (including near the post office) and noted that services such as steel‑plate loans or purchases have not yet produced replies. Frank Boyle offered a nonfinal figure of about $3,500 to grade portions of West Shore Road and East Shore Road (a temporary, nonfinal grade that would not include final sod). The board discussed using calcium chloride for dust control and directed the RC to collect additional quotes and populate a contractor spreadsheet for future scheduling.
The board also prioritized confirming correct street names and speed limits with 911 maps and discussed updating Google Maps entries; Joe Deller agreed to investigate how Lafayette obtained its street‑name data for comparison.
