Board confirms multiple hires and accepts resignations after executive session

Haddox; second by Gina Brandt); hiring Alicia Rogers as Elementary Principal for 2026–2027 and Rachael Cooper as Upper Elementary/Middle School Principal for 2026–2027 (motions by J.C. Haddox; seconds by Randy Colbert). The board approved Patti Dixon as High School Principal for 2026–2027; that motion passed with a recorded vote of Yea:3, Nay:1 (Gina Brandt), Absent:1.
The board also approved the resignation of Christina Fithian and later approved the resignation of Judith Taylor under new business. The minutes list negotiations between the Okemah Education Association and the board for certified and support staff for 2025–2026 as executive-session topics; the open minutes do not provide details of those negotiations.
