Superintendent Brenda Taylor provided several operational updates during the Sept. 11 meeting, including August meal counts, confirmation that there will be no school on Sept. 13 (though home volleyball and softball games will continue), and the district's first early release day scheduled for Sept. 18. Taylor noted the district's state accreditation occurred Aug. 29.
Taylor also said she had contacted three vendors about the elementary gym floor and had met with the Oklahoma Statewide Insurance Group (OSIG) regarding insurance matters. She mentioned a proposed "third meal option" and said a vendor (recorded as 'Oppa' in the minutes) is expected to speak to the board Oct. 9. The board received a budget report from the superintendent; the minutes do not list contract or vendor names beyond those references.
