Oklahoma Union board approves purchases, policies and personnel contracts

The Oklahoma Union Public School Board on Oct. 9 approved a slate of financial and personnel actions, including General Fund purchase orders and payroll totaling $49,542.68 and General Fund encumbrances of $539,806.65. The board also approved Building Fund encumbrances of $6,734.71 and Bond Fund items totaling $15,937.00.
The actions were taken by unanimous roll call votes of the four members present (Joanne Langworthy, Witney Allen, Hannah Nolte and Mark Huntington; KY Cole was absent). Board President Mark Huntington announced the votes after motions were made and seconded. The board also approved an election resolution for Board position #5 (five-year term) and directed signatures on the district's Estimate of Needs.
In executive session beginning at 8:25 p.m. and returned to open session at 9:39 p.m., the board completed personnel business and subsequently signed employee contracts for 2024'2025. Witney Allen read the executive session compliance statement after the board returned to open session.
The meeting adjourned at 9:47 p.m.
