Cashmere School District reports enrollment slightly above budget; preliminary September budget on target

He told the board that September historically is the high-water mark for enrollment and that the start of the Running Start program could modestly affect counts this year.
Charlton compared this year’s figure to last year’s enrollment at the same time, which was 1,589 students, and emphasized the importance of monitoring class sizes and other operational factors over the coming months. No budget adjustments or formal actions were taken during the work session; the board received the preliminary update and will revisit budget monitoring as more data arrives.
