Business Manager Bo Charlton told the Cashmere School District Board on Sept. 22 that the district’s finances "are on track with the approved budget" and that enrollment currently stands at 1535.47 full‑time equivalent students, aligning closely with budget projections.
Charlton emphasized that student enrollment remains the primary driver of district funding and said the fiscal year closeout work began Aug. 31, with the official year‑end closeout continuing over the coming months. He told the Board he will present fund balance numbers at the November work session or board meeting.
Superintendent Johnson noted that while some districts are facing cuts, Cashmere has maintained current programs and services without reductions so far.
