Board approves loan arrangement with Child Nutrition and several activity-fund transfers

Okmulgee school board approved a new FY25 loan agreement between the General Fund and the Child Nutrition Program and approved transfers and a renaming of an activity fund project to OHS Spirit Store.
The Okmulgee Board of Education on Aug. 13 approved a new loan agreement between the General Fund and the Child Nutrition Program for fiscal year 2025. The board also approved several activity-fund transfers to consolidate athletics funding: $1,125 from Activity Fund Project 814-813 (Golf) to Project 814-819 (All Sports) and $586 from Project 817 (Golf Booster) to Project 814-819 (All Sports).
Separately, the board approved renaming Activity Fund Project 840 OHS Life Skills ($11.18) to OHS Spirit Store. The rename followed earlier discussion of the OHS Spirit Store fundraising plans and a request from Board Member Heather Kimbley that any food items sold comply with the district Wellness Policy; Superintendent Clay Vinyard assured compliance.
