At its Sept. 10 meeting the Okmulgee Board of Education approved a slate of personnel actions including the employment of temporary certified staff (listed: Kayla Gryder), temporary substitutes Sheryl Shipley and Katelyn Pelky, support staff hires Lori Vick (Library Aide) and Ottis Mills (full-time bus driver and maintenance), and temporary lay coaches Cameron Johnson, LaPatrick Vann and Ronald Jones Jr. Motions for these items were recorded and passed by unanimous vote where shown in the minutes.
The board also accepted resignations submitted by Milton Hammon (bus driver), Brandi Holmes (bus driver), Michael Marion (bus driver) and Eulalia Fletch-Griffith (Academic Advisor), an action recorded under Item 4M. The minutes record the board accepted the resignations by motion with unanimous aye votes.
Several of the hires and the emergency certification application for Destiny Followill were recorded elsewhere in the Action Agenda; the minutes do not include start dates, full position descriptions beyond brief labels, nor salary details. The district's HR and payroll offices will carry out onboarding and replacement processes following the board approvals.
