Okmulgee Board corrects July 16 minutes, approves consent agenda

The Okmulgee Board of Education amended the July 16, 2024 special-meeting minutes to replace Ms. Heather Kimbley with Ms. Vickie Jones on the adjournment line and approved the consent agenda at its Aug. 6 special meeting. Board President Leroy Parker called the meeting to order at 12:33 PM and Mariah Price recorded that a quorum was established.
Board member Krystal Bohannon moved to accept the corrected minutes and Ms. Jones seconded; the motion carried with recorded ayes from Parker, Jones and Bohannon. Later in the consent discussion Mr. Mike James arrived at approximately 12:35 PM; items 2B (monthly encumbrances/expenditures) and 2C (school rental requests) were then approved on motions that recorded unanimous ayes from Parker, James, Jones and Bohannon. The meeting adjourned at 12:50 PM.
