Board President Mark Huntington called the Oklahoma Union Public School regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on May 14, 2025. After an executive session to interview candidates for the vacant board seat #5, the board returned to open session and appointed Jason Callahan to fill the vacancy; Callahan took the oath of office that evening.
Witney Allen read the executive‑session compliance statement before the appointment. The minutes record the motion to appoint Callahan was moved by Allen and seconded by Hannah Nolte. The board also announced a reorganization at the meeting listing Mark Huntington as president and KY Cole as vice president; the minutes state no formal reorganization action was taken other than listing officers.
The appointment followed an executive session held under 25 O.S. §307(B)(1) and 70 O.S. §5‑118 for candidate interviews. The board recorded the vote on the appointment as carried. The next regular meeting will continue routine business and any updates to board organization will be reflected in subsequent minutes.
