Board adopts 2025–26 calendar; district receives PLTW grant and announces schedule changes

At the March 12 meeting the Oklahoma Union Public School Board voted 4-0 to approve the 2025–2026 school calendar. The motion carried with board members Hannah Nolte, Mark Huntington, Joanne Langworthy and Witney Allen voting in favor; K.Y. Cole was absent.
Superintendent Brenda Taylor reported district updates including a $10,000 grant for Project Lead The Way resources for both the elementary and middle schools, two district snow days scheduled for April 11 and April 18, and athletic scheduling: baseball has started and the first track meet is scheduled for March 28; the district will host two track meets this year (one middle school, one high school). Taylor also noted that district revenue is coming in as estimated and that the district expects another tax payment in April.
