Bond-funded equipment arrives; gym floor testing and bus cameras pending report

During the superintendent's report, Brenda Taylor updated the board on bond-funded and facilities projects tied to district operations. She said a second agricultural truck covered by bond funds has arrived and is insured; the district will remove trailers from its insurance policy as needed.
Taylor reported that bus cameras have arrived and will be installed in the coming days. The elementary gym floor underwent AIM RIGHT testing: both vapor emissions testing and coring were completed, with seven cores taken (five from the floor and one in each of two locker rooms). The district expects the testing report before the Christmas break. Taylor also described an electrical issue in the ag building: a transformer neutral was hot; INCO from Bartlesville cleaned and cleared the transformer and the ag building resumed classes Monday.
The OKU Education Foundation’s new elementary playground equipment was scheduled for delivery the day after the meeting, with vendor-led installation planned in late December or early January (mulch will be used under the equipment). Removal of old equipment is scheduled to start on Monday under Landon Minor with James Penn supervising.
