At the July 7 meeting the Paden Board of Education approved bids for a 71-passenger 2026 model diesel activity bus with half wrap and a 14-passenger 2025 Micro Bird mini bus with lift from Ross Transportation; the purchases were identified as bond-funded. The motion (Kelly Jo Seaton, second Terri Johnson) passed unanimously.
The board considered a separate bond-funded walk-in freezer bid but took no action on that item during the meeting. A general update on bond projects and bond committee meetings was provided, and the board took no formal action on the bond-projects update at the session. The minutes do not record vendor pricing for the buses beyond the vendor name and models approved.
