Paden board approves OSDE applications for multiple teachers and certifications

The Paden Public School Board on Aug. 4 approved multiple applications to the Oklahoma State Department of Education to certify or assign teachers for the 2025-26 school year. The initial motion, moved by Board President Kelly Jo Seaton and seconded by Brandy Moore, recorded approval for Lori Dunlap (FACS), Cindy Mason (elementary), Brittany Brown (junior high math, science and keyboarding), Gabi Watts (junior high ELA, geography, history/government, PE and humanities) and Terrell Buck (Ag Education).
In a subsequent motion the board approved additional OSDE applications for Melissa Copeland (elementary), Chance Dean (Biology I & II, Computer Applications I & II, Physical Science, Health) and Julie Smith (humanities). Both motions were recorded as passing with members Benham, Case, Johnson, Moore and Seaton voting yes.
These approvals were processed as motions during the action agenda and will be submitted to OSDE per district hiring and certification procedures.
