Ottawa approves IDOT grant, multiple NCAT service agreements and employment amendments; ordinance revises part‑time operator pay

Commissioner Wayne E. Eichelkraut Jr. presented several transit-related items at the July 7 meeting. The council received and placed on file a resolution accepting and authorizing a grant agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for rehabilitation of the NCAT maintenance facility. The council also received resolutions authorizing execution of transit service agreements between the City and multiple entities, and received 28 amendments to NCAT employee employment agreements for public inspection.
In related action, the council passed an ordinance amending Section 4 of Ordinance #17-2024 and repealing Ordinance #25-2024 to revise compensation for part-time appointed NCAT bus operators. All motions on these items passed by unanimous vote (ayes recorded for Commissioners Eichelkraut, Ganiere, Pearson, Barron and Mayor Robert Hasty).
