Elementary principal reports drills, early release and Homecoming plans

Elementary Principal Kellie Ehler told the board the school has conducted required emergency drills (blackout, fire, lockdown, and earthquake) and will complete a tornado drill later this week as part of the semester schedule.
"Over the last few weeks, we have completed the required emergency drills (blackout, fire, lockdown, and earthquake) and will finish with a tornado drill this week," Ehler said. She noted the district’s first early release is Friday, Sept. 13, with dismissal at 1:00 p.m., and reminded parents of school pictures (retakes Oct. 25) and planned field trips, including a Sept. 27 trip for 2nd grade to the Gathering Place in Tulsa and multiple pumpkin-patch trips in October. Ehler also outlined Elementary Homecoming dress-up days for Sept. 16–20 and listed upcoming PTO and dental-screening events.
