Elementary principal thanks community partners, previews winter events

Elementary Principal Kellie Ehler reported to the board that the school received community support during recent parent-teacher conferences and health efforts: the Baptist Church provided meals for teachers, Hillcrest Pharmacy provided flu shots for staff, and the PTO funded classroom purchases at the book fair. "We greatly appreciate your kindness and support," Ehler said.
She also noted that PreK–4 students visited Garrett Pumpkin Patch and that the Pawnee Nation sponsored the Red Ribbon Walk on Oct. 30, during which the Pawnee Police Department assisted with traffic control so students could walk safely. Upcoming items on the elementary calendar include Vizavance vision screenings on Nov. 12, a Pawnee Language cultural presentation on Nov. 13, early release on Nov. 15, Thanksgiving break Nov. 25–29, a PTO snack cart Dec. 6, and a Kindergarten/First Grade music program on Dec. 10 in the high-school auditorium.
